Welcome to Health Class!
Health is a semester long course that meets every other day for one block. It is worth 2.5 credits and is usually paired with Physical Education or another, every other day, elective course. This is a course designed to get you thinking about your general health as well as the personal behaviors that affect your health. Our goal is to give you relevant information to help you make decisions AND teach you skills so that you can maintain or enhance your health. We ask that you enter this class with an open mind and respect for yourself and your classmates. Class participation is a key component in this course so find your voice and contribute to the small group or class discussion. Those of you that are shy and may not want to share with the whole class, please express yourself in your assignments. So do your best and enjoy!
You must pass Health class in order to graduate. A 60% or better, for the semester, is a passing grade.
